DAILY ACTIVITIES
 
    Because of the mixed age groups, times may vary. This schedule 
    is to give you general idea of our day here at Tender Tots.


We are grateful to have READ ROVER to visit our facility every fourth Monday at 10:00am. Read Rover and Read Rover Plus are mobile libraries that support BCPL's mission to foster a lifelong love of reading in children & adults. This is accomplished through our monthly visits to licensed day care providers.
Each month they perform a story time and allow us to  check out materials such as  
  • New and popular novels and non-fiction books
  • Books for children of all ages & storytelling kits
  • Books on CD
  • Magazines
  • Access to all of the circulating books of BCPL




7:00 - 8:30              Staggered Entry
8:00 - 8:30              Breakfast
8:30 - 8:45              Breakfast clean up
8:45 - 9:00              Prepare for AM lessons/ bathroom

Infant schedules vary.  They eat, play, sleep, potty & give other commands whenever the need arises!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**AM Lessons & Activity Centersconsist of welcoming song; intro/review of calendar skills (day of week, months of year, what year      is  it, weather); acknowledgement of birthdays or upcoming holidays; review of current curriculum (shapes, colors, numbers, alphabets, name recognition, etc.); body movement dance/exercise); story time. Centers consist of sand table, kitchen area, blocks, manipulatives, painting, unless there is a planned craft to coincide with story or holiday.

 
**PM Lessonsreview of some of AM Lesson (calendar skills, name of story, plot of story, distribution of homework).
 

**Afternoon activityselected centers, timed media time {computer/tablet}, outdoor play/dismissal if weather permits.

 
***If inclement weather, indoor activities such as children’s’ yoga, relay games or mat exercises are offered.

LATENESS & ATTENDANCE

Late arrivals may cause a distraction to our learning environment. Please do not send your child after 9:15am unless there is a pertinent reason such as a doctors' appt or a family emergency. If such an event arises, please call to notify us so that accommodations can be made.  Remember, your child's tuition is based on enrollment not attendance.  There will be no tuition adjustments, even if your child is not in attendance.
 
 
Please feed your child before arrival to daycare if they are not here my 8:30a for breakfast, 12:00p for lunch & 2:30p for snack.
