About Us
Tender Tots is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance.  We are committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.  We have created an environment filled with patience towards the understanding of your child's needs.  We encourage positive goals and help develop self-esteem and awareness.

We have extensive experience with children with special needs including IEP/IFSP, gestational tubing (feeding tube), mild-severe handicaps, apnea monitors, behavior disorders & speech/physical challenges. We welcome outside programs such as Maryland Infant and Toddler Program to aid in the full potential of our children.
let's go to Tender Tots Greetings! I'm Aletheia McCaskill.  Many call me, "Miss Pooh", an old childhood name & easier for the children to pronounce.  I have been married for 22 years & the very proud mother of 2 very special young ladies.  I have my Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development, Magna Cum Laude & am currently pursuing my BA/MA in Elementary Education.  After 7 years of serving in the private work sector as a computer analyst/programmer, I diligently began serving the child care community.  It has been a wonderful journey for the past 20 years.  It feels like it has been only 2 years. My, how time flies when your having fun!  I have absolutely no regrets!
I am an active member of NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care), the Association for Early Learning LeadersNAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), SEIU, Local 500-Child Care Division [currently serving as a Leader on Bargaining Committee and as Chairwoman, Maryland/DC/NOVa Regional C.O.P.E.], Level 6 of Maryland Child Care Credential, Maryland EXCELS, Certified in Emergency and Disaster Preparedness and I provide support services & child care to local homeless shelters several days a week.  I truly believe that it takes a village/community to raise a child.

I commend the curious child.  Self-discovery and building social skills are as equally important as learning the fundamentals of reading, writing and math.  My passion for early child care doesn't stop here at daycare.   I love mentoring & my political adventures are advancing state government policies that pertain to early learning/child development & women's policies.  I would love to write children's books (only in the mental process for now).  My philosophy of education is extensive.  In the largest sense, I believe education serves many purposes.  It builds character & connects us to the unknown.  Yes, to some degree, education can lead to financial prosperity.  But, the measure of wealth can only be defined by an individual's character.
Greetings, parents, grandparents, and caregivers:  My name is Fatima Whitmore, and I am the licensed co-provider here at Tender Tots Daycare. I have been caring for, and nurturing children here at Tender Tots since 2002.
We have created an environment that will inspire infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and school age children to explore; using their own knowledge, individual work, and play habits.  I am trained in our Early Start curriculum, MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education) regulations, CPR & First Aid, and Level Five for Maryland Child Care Credential . I am also, an active and current member of the NAFCC (National Association of Family Childcare), SEIU, Local 500 [currently serves on Baltimore Regional C.O.P.E. and Maryland Family Network).
I have an A.A.S. degree in Early Childhood Development.  My educational background allows me to observe and record your little ones learning styles, and implement our group or individual learning plans. I support and follow Tender Tots Daycare rules and policies that promotes quality childcare, to support children during their growth and development. I believe that healthy habits and strong emotional bonds with  parents and caregivers helps young children reach their full potential.  As an educarer, I will continue to work professionally for young children and witness their learning outcomes.
